2025 Diversity Visa Results: How to Check Successful Green Card Applicants
On Saturday, May 4, the US Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs will activate its portal so that participants in the Diversity Visa program can verify whether or not they were chosen.
The Portal will remain accessible to applicants until September 30, 2024, the Bureau informed them in a statement.
Note that the selected applications will only be verified in one way. The US Department states that being selected does not ensure an interview or a visa.
“Please be sure to have the Entrant’s Confirmation Number, Last/Family Name, and Year of Birth to check the Entrant’s status online,” said the Department.
Every year, between October and November, registration for the Green Card lottery is opened. Citizens of nations with low immigration rates can apply for immigrant visas under this scheme.
A citizen of a nation with low immigration rates to the United States and a high school graduate, or the equivalent, are the two requirements that must be satisfied to be eligible for the application.
This year’s selection process might yield up to 55,000 Green Card visas, according to a US Department of State circular.
