How To Apply for Higher Education Financing (HEF)
The following are the steps you need to follow in order to apply for Higher Education Financing :
- Go to our website or hef.co.ke to access the Student Portal, then select “register” to set up an account.
- Verify whether you possess your National ID; if not, input your KCSE Index number.
- Input a valid email address and password, then select “register.”
- Your account creation is successful. Check your email (including Spam/Junk) to activate the account and log in.
- Provide a valid Telephone number for receiving a verification code. If the code expires, request a new one by clicking “resend.”
- Complete your profile and update your personal information.
- Grant consent for the collection of personal data.
- Note: Review the consent form to understand the purpose of collecting personal data; then, agree to the terms of use by checking the checkbox.
- Input your personal details and save to proceed.
- Once all details are filled in, submit your scholarship/loan request.
- Agree to the loan terms and conditions to authorize the processing of your data.
- Update your guarantor details.
- Provide payment information for the loan (Bank or mobile payment) in the designated fields.
- Submit your loan application.
