KUCCPS launches Inter-Institutional Transfer portal; Apply Now.
The process for inter-institutional transfer via the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) involves several key steps and requirements.
KUCCPS is tasked with the responsibility of placing students in various universities and colleges based on their eligibility for specific courses. Additionally, students are granted the opportunity to transfer between institutions.
Following the closure of the application portal by KUCCPS, signaling the end of the application period, students eagerly await the announcement of results. Subsequently, students who are dissatisfied with their placements have the option to request a transfer to a different institution through the KUCCPS inter-institution transfer site.
Before considering a transfer, students must fulfill certain conditions set by KUCCPS. These include being enrolled in the program they wish to transfer from and meeting the minimum criteria for the desired course.
For degree program transfers, applicants must meet the minimum set points, which may vary annually based on multiple factors. It is essential to consider the cut-off points for each program.
Furthermore, the desired course must be available at the intended institution, as different institutions offer varying numbers of courses based on various considerations.
To initiate the transfer process, students can apply for a transfer to only one course or program. This application is only valid within a specified period while the offered program remains active.
Applicants are encouraged to thoroughly research the programs offered and their respective requirements before proceeding with the transfer process.
Upon selecting a preferred program, applicants will receive a prompt message containing seven characters. A non-refundable application fee of Ksh. 1000 is required for the process to proceed, payable once prompted.
After the application deadline, applicants are advised against making any payments.
Throughout the transfer process, applicants can monitor the progress of their application via the student portal provided by KUCCPS.
When KUCCPS announces the commencement of the inter-institution transfer process, interested students can access the KUCCPS student portal through the provided link and submit their applications promptly.
