KUCCPS Releases 2023 Placement Results for University and TVET Courses
In an eagerly awaited announcement, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) unveiled the university and TVET placement results for 2023 KCSE students on Tuesday, May 21.
According to CEO Agnes Wahome’s report, a total of 134,743 students secured placements in public universities for various degree programs, while over 18,000 students were successfully placed in private universities for degree courses.
Wahome highlighted a notable trend, revealing that more male students who sat for their national exams in 2023 applied for degree courses at universities, while a higher proportion of female students opted for degree programs at TVET institutions.
“85 per cent of 2023 KCSE candidates with a C+ and above applied for placements, with 76.2 per cent opting for degree courses and the remainder selecting diploma programs (11,991). The Bachelor of Education emerged as the most sought-after course.
Male applicants continued to dominate placement into degree programs, a trend observed since the inception of the central placement system,” stated the CEO.
To access their placement results, university hopefuls can log into the student portal at students.kuccps.net. The login credentials required include the applicant’s KCSE Index Number, KCSE year, and password.
Upon successful login, students will gain access to information regarding the institutions and courses they have been selected for, displayed conveniently on the dashboard. Importantly, there are no charges associated with checking results on the portal; all that is needed is an internet connection.
“KUCCPS extends heartfelt congratulations to all candidates whose placement reports have been released today. Visit students.kuccps.net to review the details of your university and college placement,” announced KUCCPS, urging students to promptly check their placement status.
