Man UTD Told to Hire Championship Boss for FA Cup Final After Ten Hag’s ‘Sackable Offence’
Manchester United has been instructed to name a new manager for their FA Cup final matchup against Manchester City.
In time for the FA Cup final later this month, Manchester United has been instructed to fire Erik ten Hag and temporarily appoint their former player and interim manager Michael Carrick.
Ten Hag is under increasing pressure after a disappointing season at Old Trafford, as the Red Devils ended this week with a 4-0 thrashing at Selhurst Park at the hands of Crystal Palace.
Ten Hag, who is nearing the end of his second season at United, guided his squad to back-to-back FA Cup final appearances and Carabao Cup glory the previous season. But former Premier League midfielder Jamie O’Hara has urged the team to take a stand after the Red Devils’ humiliation in the nation’s capital.
“Manchester United were awful on Monday night against Crystal Palace,” O’Hara said at Grosvenor Casino. It was an offence that could get you fired. The extent of Ten Hag’s badness, its severity, and the fact that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is genuinely supporting him astound me.
“To give themselves a chance, they ought to enter a new player for the championship game. Ten Hag is not permitted in the dugout. After the season, he is leaving. The players no longer support him. They’re entering that game with a poor performance and mindset.
I would try to get in Michael Carrick and try to gain a lift by changing it. After just a few games, he can return to Middlesbrough.
