Responders were seen in a video assisting occupants trapped in the overturned bus obtained by The Daily Brief
There is no casualties or injuries that have been reported so far. The crash happened on Maralal-Wamba Road as the driver tried to cross a flooded river.
This tragedy has happened just after Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu extended the school reopening date to May 6th due to flooding affecting many schools.
Machogu has come to the decision after learning that torrential downpours in the past week had caused flooding in numerous areas, including Kamuchiri Village in Nakuru County, where over 45 people died in flash floods.
Kenya Red Cross reports that a nearby river overflowed, causing the floods.
Naivasha police captain Stephen Kirui has also confirmed the incident.
