WHO Internship Programme (May 2024) Open for Application
WHO Internship Programme (May 2024) Open for Application. To achieve global health goals, every health system must have a capable and dynamic health workforce at its core. A pool of health professionals that have been taught, exposed to, and understand the systems and procedures in the health sector as well as the interactions between players in the international health arena is necessary for countries.
As the world authority on public health concerns, WHO is dedicated to developing a broad pipeline of future public health leaders. Through the WHO Internship Program, students and recent graduates can enhance their knowledge and experience in a variety of fields while gaining insight into the technical and administrative programs of the organization, ultimately leading to the progress of public health.
The Objectives/Goals of WHO
- Establish a methodology for allocating qualified students from a range of academic backgrounds to WHO programs so that opportunities for capacity building can improve their educational experience.
- Give students majoring in different sectors connected to the technical and administrative programs of the World Health Organization the chance to engage with the programs and profit from them.
- Internships in technical fields and administrative programs, including communication, external relations, and human resources, are available through WHO.

Beginning in January 2020, WHO will give living allowances to qualified, chosen interns who require financial assistance. Every intern is required to fill out a formal Declaration of Interests form. Candidates for internships must disclose on this form all relevant financial information, including grants, bursaries, scholarships, and other forms of financial assistance. The eligibility of the intern candidates for financial support from WHO will be evaluated based on the data submitted in this form.
